  • Flat Rock Fall Festival held
    Thousands of visitors enjoyed the live entertainment, food, exhibits, demonstrations and shopping at the 25th annual Flat Rock Creek Fall Festival.
  • Double homicide trial slated to start Monday
    PAULDING – “Housekeeping” issues were handled during a brief pretrial conference Monday morning in preparation for the murder trial of a Defiance man accused of a double homicide in February.
  • Raiders survive to claim county title
    HAVILAND – Wayne Trace claimed the Paulding County mythical championship on Friday night as the Raiders outlasted a feisty Antwerp squad 42-34 in a 3-1/2 hour marathon game at Raider Field.
  • Pirates, lightning strike early
    PAULDING – Lightning struck late in the first quarter to halt the Paulding football game with Bluffton. The 30-minute delay somewhat came at a good time for the Panthers.

  • Ohio: Military, overseas voting begins Saturday
    COLUMBUS – Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted today announced absentee voting for military and overseas voters begins tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 24  for the upcoming Presidential Election.
  • PAULDING – Barbara Baksa, age 62, died Wednesday, Sept. 21 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
  • PAULDING – The Western Buckeye ESC Governing Board, at its regular meeting Sept. 21, was updated by superintendent Brian Gerber on legislative issues, personnel items, ESC activities, and the latest state report card that was published earlier this week.
