Payne Fall Festival dates set

PAYNE – On Monday, Payne Village Council discussed that a police and fire levy will be on the November ballot. Council suspended the rules and accepted Resolutions 2012-J and 2012-K relating to these levies. Payne Fall Festival will be held Oct. 13-14. Council transferred $20,000 from the street and lighting fund to the general fund. The street department will be cleaning up a pile of carpet and padding and taking it to the burn pile from an abandoned house on the corner of Foust and Ash streets. A sewage, trash and dog complaint was made concerning a residence on Dallas Street. The village thanked Mercer Landmark for the use of their facilities during the recent village clean up.
