By JIM LANGHAM Feature Writer PAULDING – Michael Scuse, USDA under secretary for Farm and Foreign Agriculture Services, said last Tuesday afternoon that Paulding County is one of the worst areas he has seen for both drought and storm damage. As if one wasn’t bad enough, the compounding damage from the June 29 storm was a “double whammy,” Scuse told those present for his tour of the Doug Goyings farm, located just north of Paulding. Early last week, Scuse toured sites in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio – three states effected by severe weather this year.
