PAYNE – Mr. and Mrs. Glen Deatrick of Payne will be celebrating 50 years of marriage on Aug. 12.

Glen Deatrick and Julia Johnson were married Aug. 12, 1962, at the St. James Lutheran Church in Payne, by the Rev. Grant Shealy.

Glen is retired from Crumback-Symons Chevrolet in New Haven and Julia is retired from the Animal Clinic of Paulding.

The couple are the parents of two daughters, Andrea Ehresman of New Haven and Sarah (Brian) Franz of Hoagland, Ind.

They also have two grandchildren.

The couple celebrated the occasion with a special family gathering.
