WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The first 4-H robotics team from Ohio to compete at 4-H Engineering Nationals is from Paulding County.

A team made up of brothers Gary and Matthew Klopfenstein, Arlen Stoller and Alec Kuhn traveled to West Lafayette, Ind., Sept. 23-25, to represent the local county at competition.

In addition, 14 individual competitors also competed from the Buckeye state.

“The team members spent a lot of time preparing for this competition,” said Staci Hiler, 4-H Program Assistant for the county. “They used VEX robot kits in the competition; the team had approximately 24 hours to design and construct their robot to do specific tasks.”
