Paulding County Commissioner Tony Zartman on Wednesday provided the Progress with a statement regarding the recent decisions about the dog warden office and the emergency management agency office:

Controversy continues over dog warden, EMA

Controversy continues, on the local and state levels, following the Paulding County commissioners’ plans to place the dog warden’s office and emergency management agency under the authority of the county sheriff’s office.

A group of residents claims it will pursue a recall election of two of the three county commissioners. The group met late Tuesday morning with Prosecutor Joe Burkard.

 

 
One arrested in latest meth lab bust in Antwerp

ANTWERP – On Monday evening, May 20 at approximately 9 p.m., Antwerp Police Officer Michael Kirsch was answering a routine call for a domestic issue when he discovered what appeared to be remnants of a meth lab.
