PAULDING – Representatives from Gov. Kasich’s office and Congressman Bob Latta’s office visited Paulding-Putnam Electric Cooperative (PPEC) in Paulding last week to hear more about the co-op’s renewable energy units.

On Wednesday, June 25, Chase Eikenbary, regional liaison for the governor, and Ryan Mack, district representative for Latta, viewed the co-op’s onsite wind and solar energy units. They were joined by county economic developer Jerry Zielke.

George Carter, PPEC’s general manager and CEO, said the wind and solar units have been at the facility for three years. Co-op members have been very interested in the units, he said. Current data on the wind turbine and solar panels can be found on their website’s home page at www.ppec.coop.
