Kimberly Tettenhorst of Defiance and Michael Menzel of Napoleon have announced their engagement and approaching wedding.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Johnson of Defiance. She earned a bachelor of arts from The Ohio State University and is currently a personal lines underwriting supervisor at German Mutual Insurance in Napoleon.

Her fiancé is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Menzel of Napoleon. He is a graduate of Kennett High School in Kennett Square, Pa., and attended Penn State University. He is employed as office manager at Shisler Insurance Agency, Paulding.

The couple is planning a Christmas wedding at Nazareth Hall in Grand Rapids.
