Antwerp board accepts coach's resignation, hires new treasurer

ANTWERP – The Antwerp Local School Board accepted the resignation of longtime head football coach Drew Altimus at its monthly meeting on Dec. 16.

Altimus is the most successful head coach in school history, leading his teams to several playoff appearances in his 14-year career. But building a quality program requires a tremendous personal commitment that takes its toll, especially for someone with a young family like Altimus and his wife, who have three children.
