Rister, Hyman are finalists for county court judge

The names of two attorneys have been forwarded to Gov. Ted Strickland for consideration as the next Paulding County Court judge.

The Ohio Judicial Appointments Recommendations Panel (OJARP)  has named Suzanne Shuman Rister and David Hyman as finalists for the judge’s seat. Gov. Strickland will appoint a judge before leaving office Jan. 10.

Paulding County Court Judge Tiffany Beckman will become judge of Paulding County Common Pleas Court on Jan. 1, which will create the vacancy in county court.
