Governor appoints Rister county court judge

Last week, Gov. Ted Strickland appointed Suzanne Shuman Rister to fill the vacancy in Paulding County Court.

Rister, 48, a private practice attorney from Antwerp, will take the bench effective Friday, Jan. 7, replacing Judge Tiffany Beckman, who was elected to Paulding County Common Pleas Court. The Antwerp resident will complete Beckman’s unexpired term, which ends Dec. 31, 2012.
