| Raiders pick up big non-league win |

By KEVIN WANNEMACHER Sportswriter HAVILAND – Wayne Trace got a much-needed victory and hopefully ignited a fresh start to the second half of the season as the Raiders rolled past cross-state rival Woodlan 83-52 in non-league boys basketball action last Thursday evening. The Raiders, who broke a three-game losing skid, pick up their second win of the season in six tries but most importantly put a positive spin on heading into Green Meadows Conference play tomorrow night. “This is a good win for us,” Raider head coach Jim Linder noted. “We need to build off of this and take the confidence we were able to get tonight into league play next week.” To read the rest of this article please subscribe or sign in |
