Should the county emergency management agency office duties be a separate office?

'Colors of Cancer' Kickoff a teamwork event for Relay

By JIM LANGHAM

Feature Writer

When Carrie Lero decided she wanted to become involved with the Relay For Life of Paulding County, she thought of her Mary Kay business and how she could use that to help benefit the local fund-raising drive.

“I have a lot of family members who have had cancer or who have died from cancer,” said Lero. “I decided to donate from my Mary Kay business to give back to those who have helped my family. I am giving a portion of my profits to our team.”

Another team member that has jumped into the fund-raising because of family members with cancer is Payne resident Lyn Collis. As team captain of Allies of the Fight, Collis is in her fourth year of involvement with Relay For Life and her second year as a team captain.
