Archers claim two weekend wins

ANTWERP – The Antwerp Archers notched two very big wins that put them where they wanted to be. First on Friday night, Antwerp claimed a tough GMC win 49-41 at Ayersville to keep pace at the top of the league. Then the Archers returned home Saturday and prevailed in OT against Edon 50-48, a game that had important implications for sectional seeding.

“I thought last night and tonight were tournament types of atmosphere,” said Antwerp coach Scott McMichael after the Edon game.
