County officials are appealing the unemployment claim of former dog warden Amanda Lichty, who was fired at the end of December.

Lichty submitted a letter to the editor regarding her employment and the dog shelter, which appears on Page 4A of the March 2 Progress.

The county commissioners appointed Georgia Dyson interim dog warden as of Dec. 29. She has been hired as dog warden.
