Raiders win sectional




PAULDING – In what may have been one of their best performances of the season, the Wayne Trace Lady Raiders moved to 21-0 on the season with a 72-41 rout of Continental in Division IV girls sectional basketball action at Paulding High School Saturday evening.

The victory sends the Raiders to district semifinal action on Thursday. Wayne Trace plays Delphos Jefferson at 6:15 p.m. that evening.

Continental jumped on top early, opening a 6-2 lead. Wayne Trace answered with 10 straight points and closed the quarter on a 22-4 run in taking a 24-10 lead after eight minutes of action.
