| Witnessing the Hand of God |
|
By Jim Langham Two weeks before my special lifelong friend, Meredith Sprunger, passed away, we attended a gospel music concert together in the country outside of Bluffton, Ind. When we walked to our cars, we stood and talked for over an hour. ... but the memory of that evening was a tremendous celestial wonder that occurred before our eyes. Nearly simultaneously, both of our eyes were caught in wonder in what appeared to be a huge, beautiful hand peacefully hovering over the sunset in the western sky. Fortunately, I had my camera; I snapped a picture of what both of us immediately referred to as the “hand of God.” Little did we realize that in Portland, Ind., about 20 miles to the south, a cousin was simultaneously capturing the same scene on his camera, verifying the depth and spirituality of the moment.
