PAULDING – Thanks to volunteers from Spartech Plastics, Gasser Road and County Road 103 should be cleaner along their roadways over the next two years. Through a recommendation from the Environmental Health and Safety organization, Spartech decided to adopt Gasser Road from U.S. 127 to County Road 103, and County Road 103 from Gasser Road south to Ohio 111.

Spartech has agreed to clean the roadways four times a year over the next two years. Plant manager Jeff Dye noted that the project is being maintained on a voluntary basis; so far, Dye said, 25 percent of the work force, approximately 20 employees, has agreed to participate in the clean up. Spartech currently employs 84 individuals.
