MELROSE – Melrose Village Council met Monday April 18 with all council members present for the regular council meeting and a special town meeting.

The town meeting, which was scheduled to start at 7 p.m., did not start until 7:10 p.m. to allow for anyone who may have been detained. Five residents attended. The state financial advisors did not show up for the meeting. Mayor Janet Stroup began the meeting by recapping the financial situation of the Village of Melrose.
