Should the county emergency management agency office duties be a separate office?
New ball complex opens

Progress Staff Writer

PAULDING – The new Lela McGuire Jeffery Ball Complex had its grand opening on Saturday, May 14. A lot of excitement was in the air as the dedication ceremony took place and the first pitches were thrown on the different ball fields.

“The bleachers were packed and there were family members from each ball complex sponsor to throw out the first pitch,” said Stacey McGarvey of the Paulding Ball Association.

Representing the Zachary Herman Arend field was a sister of the late Zachary Arend, Allison. McGarvey said, “It was so nice that the first pitch was caught by Dakota Bradford, the great-great-grandson of Lela Jeffery.”
