Lady Archers steal sectional title

EDON – Trailing by one run going into the bottom of the seventh inning, the Antwerp Archers softball team was up against it last week in a Division IV Sectional Final against the Edon Bombers.

But Antwerp used Edon mistakes, good execution and aggressive base running to score two runs and squeeze out a wild 4-3 win. With the victory, the Archers claimed their eighth straight sectional title and advanced to play Pettisville in the Bryan District this Wednesday.
