Duer leads Raiders to title

By KEVIN WANNEMACHER

Sportswriter

CONVOY – Ashton Duer took a no-hitter into the seventh before settling on a two-hitter as Wayne Trace posted a 6-1 victory over Spencerville in Division IV sectional action at Crestview on Friday.

The Raiders also took advantage of Bearcat errors, scoring three unearned runs early in the contest to earn a district berth. Wayne Trace will face Parkway this afternoon at 4:15 at Coldwater High School.

The red, white and blue struck early, thanks to a Bearcat mistake.
