Archers fall in regional semifinal

By STEVE MAJOR

Sportswriter

FINDLAY – The Antwerp Archers came up short again at the softball Division IV Regional at Findlay last Friday, falling to Fremont St. Joseph by a score of 3-1. The loss marked the end to another successful season for Antwerp, who complete the year with a 16-8 record.

After retiring St. Joseph in the top of the first, Antwerp’s AJ Stuck led off the bottom of the inning with a single and then got herself to second with a steal. Eventually she scored the game’s first run when senior Toni Winslow drove her in with double.
