THURSDAY, JUNE 9

4-9 pm Paulding Kiwanis Fish and French Fries served in front of the Kiwanis Community Center

 

5-9 pm Homemade Ice Cream served at the First Presbyterian Church parking lot, Williams Street

 

5-10 pm World Famous Methodist Brats served at Paulding United Methodist Church, 321 N. Williams St.

 

5-11 pm Rides & Games by Durant Amusements on the square. Wristbands $12

 

7 pm Grand Parade, presented by title sponsor Paulding Auto Group. Floats, marching bands, horses, twirling groups, clowns and candy. This year’s theme is “Summer Breeze.” Parade grand marshal is Phyllis Crossland.

 

8 pm Senior Center Food Tent serving sandwiches and snacks until close. Tent located next to the Chamber Tent on Williams Street

 

After the parade (approx. 8 pm) until 11 pm, JayLynn and Colt 45 in the Chamber Tent; $2 cover charge. This Lima-area band plays Country Music, with a side order of Rock-N-Roll, and a glass of Blues. Sponsored in part by Cooper Farms.

 

After the parade (approx. 8 pm) until 9 pm Bookmobile open. Paulding County Carnegie Library’s new bookmobile will be parked near the corner of Perry and Main street and open to the public for tours.

 

FRIDAY, JUNE 10

7 pm Miss Paulding County Scholarship Pageant, Paulding H.S. Auditeria, doors open at 6:30 pm. New event! Seven young women will compete for the title and scholarship prizes. Tickets on sale at the Chamber office and Paulding County Progress office and from any contestant, also at the door

 

8 pm Senior Center Food Tent serving sandwiches and snacks until close. Tent located next to the Chamber Tent on Williams Street

 

8 pm-Midnight Strawberry Hill performing in the Chamber Tent; $2 cover charge. Sponsored in part by Cooper Farms.

 

 

SATURDAY, JUNE 11

7:30-11 am Paulding County Hospital Family Health Day at the hospital

 

8:30-10 am Senior Center Community Breakfast, Paulding County Senior Center, 401 E. Jackson St. Open to the public. Pancakes, scrambled eggs, breakfast meat, fruit. Free-will donation.

 

9 am-9 pm JPDays Softball Tournaments for men's and co-ed teams at Reservoir Park and Wiffleball tournament at "The Swamp" wiffleball field at Reservoir Park. For information, call 419-399-2981 or email ronzneonz@hotmail.com

 

11 am-2 pm Community Garden Walk, sponsored by Paulding Better Homes & Garden Club and Paulding County Master Gardeners, starting at LaFountain Park.
