THE FLEA MARKET

I have always loved going to Shipshewana and visiting the flea market. The drive is a pretty scenic route and I love traveling through Amish country.

The morning sun was bright and beautiful when leaving Ohio, but, as usual, there was a call for possible rain showers. The drive to Shipshewana took about 1-1/2 hours by the time a stop was made for some breakfast.

When we got closer to the Ligonier area, we began to see a lot of Amish farms, buggies and horses. There were clothes hanging on the clotheslines, men in the fields plowing with horses and children were tending to the gardens.
