Sittin’ (and spinnin’) on the board

For every event we attend, whether it is sponsored by a church, school or social group, a great deal of planning goes on behind the scenes.

Some groups and organizations have been in existence for many years. A lot of boards set agendas and protocol for most of the groups. It is always nice to add to your resumé, “I sit on a board of directors. Our group does this and that throughout the year.”

However, what role do you, as a board member or a member of an organization, do to ensure the event your group sponsors is a success?
