Antwerp's Day In the Park is Aug. 13

ANTWERP – The Antwerp Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its 13th annual Day In the Park on Saturday, Aug. 13 at 10 a.m. at Riverside Memorial Park. The Chamber promises a busy day full of entertainment and fun activities.

For the first time, the Day In the Park will begin with a parade at 10 a.m. starting at Waterplant Drive next to the football field and running through town and past the park before returning to the football field by going down Kroos Drive. Lineup for the parade starts at 9 a.m. at the Antwerp School.

The parade will consist of the Antwerp High School band and cheerleaders, a variety of floats and decorated golf carts, the Antwerp fire and police departments, antique and new tractors, and antique cars as well as the 2011 Gem of the Year.
