| Benefit for Klender family Sept. 2 |

By JIM LANGHAM Feature Writer ANTWERP – No one knows how rapidly life can change more than Antwerp’s Melissa Klender and children, Devon, Christian, Autumn, Franky, Colette and Dante. It happened on Aug. 18 early in the morning when her husband, Jeff, veered off the road and collided with a tree in while en route to Cooper Farms Cooked Meats in Van Wert to work for the day. The collision, which appeared to occur because of a medical condition, was immediately addressed by medical personnel who transported Klender by air ambulance to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, where he remains in critical condition. It is anticipated that Klender will be hospitalized for a lengthy period of time, which only complicates things. Since he is the only source of income to the large family, utility and other family bills are mounting at a rapid rate.
