PAYNE  – Melissa Sue Daeger and Brent Eric Ankney, both of Payne, have announced their engagement and approaching marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of John and Rita Daeger of Paulding. She is a  graduate of Wayne Trace High School and a 2003 graduate of Northwest State. In 2008, she graduated from Trine University with a bachelor’s degree in business. She is employed at Chief Supermarkets Inc. and the Williams County Prosecutor’s Office.

Her fiancé is the son of Rex and Lula Mae Ankney of Paulding. He is a graduate of Paulding High School and a 1997 graduate of Wright State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts. He is employed by the United States Postal Service and is a firefighter for the Paulding and Payne fire Departments.

The couple will exchange wedding vows on Nov. 5, 2011, at the historic St. Paul’s Church in rural Paulding.
