The Spice Rack

By Dorotha Schaefer:

Wilma told this story of her attempt to save one of God’s creatures. One that she had always liked as a child, a little lightning bug. The insect had fallen into a spider web and was becoming badly tangled.

As she continued in her rescue efforts, a wasp flew out from the bush into her face. Trying to escape the wasp she wrenched her leg, twisting it into a painful contortion. The leg injury kept her from walking for a time. So much for rescue efforts.

Here is another story of what was far from being a rescue of one of God’s creatures. Jeremy, while out in the back yard of his home, saw a beautiful hawk come diving down from the sky directly into a trash can full of water.
