Hobbies help us all to hang onto our sanity in this crazy mixed-up world. A learned Doctor Ross writes that stamp collecting people are smarter than your average human beings. Not only that, but they are better adjusted. But what about the rest of us? It has been my hobby, I think, to look for people with interesting hobbies to write articles about in the Progress newspaper, or at least it was until I quit doing it.

People who retire take up hobbies in different ways. Some go to our John Paulding Historical Society Museum, where they find many things to do for that important cause. Others take an interest in their town parks and mow grass as well as take care of trees and bushes and the ball parks.
