Dallas Lamb Home to close doors

PAYNE – The Dallas Lamb Foundation Home in Payne is set to close its doors in 30-90 days. The decision was made following a meeting at Dallas Lamb on Thursday, Sept. 22.

The Dallas Lamb Nursing Home, which opened in 1974, has been having financial difficulties for approximately six years and foundation trustees stated in a press release that they were closing due to lack of funds.

As evidence of the financial problems, a federal tax lien for just over $108,000 was filed against the home on Sept. 19.

Sources indicate that a real estate broker has been through the building and it will be put up for sale very soon.
