Some of you readers may have noticed a great lack of this column in recent months – many things have been happening to cause it. The Powers That Be closed the DLF Apartments on the north side of Payne where we had been living, making a move necessary not only for apartment dwellers, but all the folks living in the home. Health problems added to the uproar in Apartment E. Editor Melinda tried to keep things going for the Rack (many thanks). Yet another problem arose, slowly but often. How old should a person be to write a column? Does age affect the contents in a noticeable way? If so, when is the stopping point? I will reach the age of 91 this month. Vast numbers of people never reach the age of 90. Are the readers still there? We have made the move to Georgetowne Place in Fort Wayne – 1717 Maplecrest Rd. Apt. 132, Fort Wayne IN 46815. Some of you have found your way here already and you are very welcome. Payne’s Jim Hooker made his way here on his trip back to Arizona for the winter. Unpacking is done except for one box of books and souvenirs relating to the Ryan family.
