PC Tigers garner 3rd place

On March 30, the PC Tigers traveled to Dover to play against the Comets of Columbiana County in the semifinals Division II Men's Special Olympics basketball.

PC Tigers coach Mark Holtsberry had received a scouting report from a coach whose team had just played the Comets. Holtsberry knew what he was in for as these guys pressed and trapped.

Holtsberry said, “My guys had no trouble with those elements, the problem was the other team’s size and strength. Their depth was also an issue as the game wore on.”

The score was 21-18 at the end of the first quarter in favor of the Comets. In the second quarter, the Columbiana team got more aggressive and had a 49-32 lead at half-time.
