HAVILAND – The Fairview boys and Tinora girls claimed team championships at the Wayne Trace Track Invitational on Friday evening while the Rams also took the combined team title.

Tinora won the girls meet with 114-1/3 points to easily get past second place Ayersville’s 74.93 points. The host Lady Raiders finished third with 63 and Lincolnview took fourth with 48. Antwerp finished 12th place with eight points.

Wayne Trace’s Rylee Zartman captured the 400 dash in 1:03.12 and the Raiders’ Krystal Wannemacher won the high jump with a leap of 5-1.

Raider point scorers were Abigail Shepherd (800 run, fourth), Rachel Long (discus, second), Emily Noggle (discus and shot put, third) and Wannemacher (shot put, sixth).

The red, white and blue 3200 relay team of Haley Saylor, Gina Sinn, Shepherd and Staci Wenninger took fifth while Erin Jewell, Emily Whitman, Shepherd and Zartman combined to take third in the 1600 relay. The quartet of Carrigan Critten, Jewell, Zartman and Taylor Grant took second in the 800 relay and fifth in the 400 relay.

Ayersville sophomore Chelsey Seifert garnered the Most Valuable Girl award after taking second in the 100 and 400 dash while winning the 200 dash.

Other individual winners included Tinora’s Tori Abdul (100 dash), Ayersville’s Hannah McKibben (1600 and 3200 run), Edgerton’s Leighe Nickels (300 hurdles), Tinora’s Mykaela Flory (800 run), Edon’s Gabby Siebenaler (discus), Continental’s Paige Ordway (long jump), Ayersville’s Ally Moore (pole vault) and Tinora’s Rebecca Olashuk (shot put).

Antwerp’s Ellise Wetli was fourth in the 400 dash and finished fourth in the long jump to provide the Lady Archer points.

On the boys’ side, Fairview posted 126 points compared to Tinora’s 102 and Lincolnview’s 57. Ayersville (56), Continental (47) and Wayne Trace (43) rounded out the top six schools. The Archers took ninth place with 20 points.

Antwerp’s Zach Dunlap won the discus with a toss of 147-9 to lead the blue and white efforts. Troy Womack took fifth in the high jump and the Archers’ Ty Lee was fifth in the shot put. The Archers’ Cameron Huss finished third in the 400 dash.

For Wayne Trace, the quartet of Corbin Showalter, Kenny Ganter, Kim Bickford and Tyler Arnett was third in the 800 relay while Showalter, Wesley Goings, Bickford and Arnett finished fourth in the 400 relay. Bickford, Ganter, Goings and Showalter combined for a fifth place finish in the 1600 relay.

Individual placers for the Raiders were Arlen Stoller (1600 run, third and 3200 run, fourth), Arnett (300 hurdles, sixth), Keegan Olwin (long jump, fourth) and Kortokrax (discus, fourth).

Fairview’s Matt Tobin won the 100 dash, 400 dash and 200 dash to claim Most Valuable Boy at the meet.

Also claiming individual titles were Hicksville’s Andy Williams (110 hurdles), Tinora’s Sam Lehman (1600 and 3200 run), Ayersville’s Cade Mansfield (800 run), Antwerp’s Zach Dunlap (discus), Ayersville’s Jacob Smith (high jump) and Continental’s Dallas Geckle (300 hurdles). Hicksville’s Logan Husted and Fairview’s Adam Hill tied for first in the pole vault.

Tinora won the combined trophy with 216 points followed by Fairview (157) and Ayersville (130). Wayne Trace was fourth at 106 and Lincolnview took fifth with 105. Antwerp took 12th place with 28 points.
