EDGERTON 14, W. TRACE 2
Wayne Trace fell to Edgerton 14-2 in Green Meadows Conference action last Thursday.
Cade Harvey (two singles), Austin Speice (two singles) and Zach Mansfield (double) led the Raider offense. Broc Forrer suffered the loss, giving up seven hits and seven runs in one-plus innings of work.
OTTOVILLE 8, WAYNE TRACE 3
On Wednesday, the red, white and blue dropped an 8-3 decision to Ottoville.
Mansfield and Marcus McVay each had a single and a double with Austin Speice recording a triple. Cade Harvey gave up five hits and six runs in three-plus innings to take the loss on the hill.
FAIRVIEW 10, WAYNE TRACE 9
The Raiders took a heartbreaking 10-9 loss to Fairview as well in league play. Wayne Trace led 5-2 early but saw the Apaches rally to tie the contest before winning it in the eighth inning.
Harvey (two singles), Austin Speice (single, double), Colby Speice (double), Forrer (three singles), Ryan Jewell (single, double), Caleb Mead (two singles) and Nick McClain (two singles) led the Raider offense.
Forrer absorbed the loss, giving up one hit and three walks while fanning two.
ADA 10, PAULDING 2
Ada scored seven runs in the final two innings to pull away for a 10-2 win over Paulding in Northwest Conference action last week.
Treston Gonzales suffered the loss for the Panthers, giving up 11 hits and four walks with a dozen strikeouts. Michael Bauer had a single and a double for the maroon and white while Alberto Flint added two singles.
AYERSVILLE 12, ANTWERP 2
Ayersville rolled to a 12-2 win over Antwerp in conference action on Tuesday.
The Pilots used a seven-run sixth inning to seal the victory. Colten Hamman took the loss with Kaden Brummet and Derek Smalley also seeing time on the mound.
Drew Taylor and Shane Cline had two singles each for Antwerp and Andy Coleman recorded a triple.
HOLGATE 11, ANTWERP 1
Holgate picked up an 11-1 win over the Archers Thursday afternoon as Jake Aelker posted two doubles and four runs batted in.
Andy Coleman had a double to lead the Archer offense while also suffering the loss on the mound, giving up six hits and three walks while fanning two.
Javier Gonzales allowed only two walks to lead Paulding to a 2-0 win over Spencerville.
The Panthers got single runs in the fourth and sixth innings to get the win, using a single and a double by Jason Koenn to lead the Panther offense.
WAYNE TRACE 15,
DELPHOS ST JOHNS 5
Wayne Trace defeated Delphos St. John’s 15-5 in action last week as Jacob Dingus picked up two singles and a double to pace the Raider offense. T.J. Blackmore got the win on the mound for the red, white and blue.
