ANTWERP — The 15th wedding anniversary of Myron Richard Zimmerman and Caroline Mae Wells Longardner is being celebrated.

They were married June 7, 1997, at the Antwerp Methodist Church by the Rev. Gray.

They were both graduates of the Class of Antwerp 1961. Richard’s parents were Myron Trustin Zimmerman and LaVon Rumble (Van Wert) of Antwerp. Caroline’s parents were Albert Francis Wells and Kathryn Irene Soule (LaPeer Co., Mich.) of Hicksville.

By previous marriages, their children are: Gary Zimmerman, Fort Wayne; James Trustin Zimmerman, Fort Wayne; Melanie Longardner Coak Oberlin, Antwerp; John Nicholas Longardner, Antwerp; and Julius Kirk Longardner of Fort Wayne. Myron and Caroline have 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

They plan to have a family dinner to celebrate the occasion and take a trip in the fall.

Their interests include the adoption of retired greyhound racedogs, caring for yard and flowers and reading plus keeping up on the family history. Caroline writes for local newspapers and Myron enjoys woodcarving.
