Paulding Council hears update on project

PAULDING – Paulding Mayor Greg White opened Monday evening’s village council meeting with a moment of silence to remember Paul Keeler who died as a result of injuries suffered Sunday in an accident.  White commented that Keeler had served the village as a councilman and policeman.

The street committee met June 11 and a portion of the discussion concerned the Cherry Street/North Drive project and funds of $20,000 that are being held by the village. The village is holding the funds until the seeding on the project has reached a level of satisfaction that would allow for the release of all or a portion of the funds.

After an extended discussion, which included the project engineer, the street committee made a recommendation which was unanimously approved by council that the $20,000 be held until the seeding is complete and acceptable.
