3:22pm Monday, July 2, 2012

BREAKING NEWS: Paulding EMA has opened a cooling station/shelter at the OSU Extension building at the fairgrounds. Currently, 5 people are taking advantage of the air conditioned facility. Showers available, but only with cold water. If you come, bring something to entertain yourself (books, games, cards, etc.) and medications. If you plan to shower, bring your own towels and toiletries. Persons needing transportation should phone EMA at 419-399-3500.

EMA director Randy Shaffer said that if these individuals need overnight accommodations, they will be transported to the shelter in Van Wert. If more people arrive, they will set up a shelter here with cots and meals.
