Should the county emergency management agency office duties be a separate office?
Jimmy Miller retires and returns from Washington

Progress Staff Writer

Part 1 of 2

(Reporter Nancy Whitaker sat down with Jimmy Miller in a one-on-one interview when he returned to Paulding County last week to visit his family. Miller retired June 1,  after 53 years of federal service with 36 of those being on the Hill.)

PAULDING – As one lobbyist put it, “Every committee has a Jimmy Miller, but the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee has THE Jimmy Miller.”

For the past 36 years, Miller has worked in the nation’s Capitol for the U.S. House of Representatives. He had the front row seats to the management of the government programs which include meeting and working side-by-side with some of the most distinguished political officials in the country.
