Panthers beat AE in ACME baseball

PAULDING – The Allen East Mustangs traveled to Paulding High School to take on the Panthers in AMCE baseball on a hot Thursday evening.  The Mustangs came into the game with a very nice 9-2 record on the season and the Panthers were 12-7 on the ACME season. Paulding scored runs in 5 of the 6 innings they played to help catapult them to a 12-2 win. Paulding got a complete game effect from pitcher Kyle Kauser who went the distance and got the win for the Panthers.

The top of the first started out bad for Paulding when Mustang batters Derek Ketchum and Braden Goodwin both reached base on an error and a walk. The next Allen East batter, Nick Kohlrieser, hit a line drive to Treston Gonzales, the Panther third baseman, who stepped on third and fired a rocket to first to get the double play. Kauser got the next Mustang batter to fly out to right to end the top of the first.
