Pieper Memorial Trap Shoot Set

PAULDING – The 8th annual Oscar F. Pieper Memorial Trap Shoot will be held on Sunday, July 15, at the Paulding Fish and Game Club, located one mile south of Paulding on U.S. 127.

Practice will begin at noon, with the competition scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m.

Oscar F. Pieper was instrumental in developing the trap shooting sport in Paulding County. He was a lifelong sport shooting enthusiast and believed in passing on the tradition to future generations.

Top shooters from throughout Ohio and Indiana will compete for monetary and other prizes as they try to shoot  75 birds or clay targets. The winner of the shoot last year was Kevin Sigler, who shot 74 out of 75 birds.

Spectators are encouraged to bring folding chairs and set them up in the shade to watch the phenomenal marksmanship. The club grill will be open with a lunch menu. For more information, contact Fred Pieper at 419-399-9021.
