From Progress Staff Reports Officials are looking into allegations concerning a Wayne Trace High School teacher who has resigned. Rachel Parrett, a social studies teacher and Scholastic Bowl adviser, resigned last Thursday, July 26. Superintendent Steve Arnold told the Progress this week that “allegations were made. We consulted advice from our attorney. The teacher resigned.” A spokesman for the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office said they could not comment because of an ongoing investigation. County Prosecutor Joe Burkard could not be reached for comment today. A spokesman for the Ohio Department of Education’s public affairs office could neither confirm or deny whether the department has received any information. Sources have indicated the resignation stems from possible misconduct involving a student. We will share any updates if they become available.
