Governor requests disaster declaration

Today, Governor Kasich requested that the President declare a major disaster related to the June 29 severe storms. The results of the FEMA/State/Local Joint PDA found $29,500,355 in costs/damages. Paulding County was included in the request. The request is for damages incurred by governmental agencies and certain nonprofit groups, NOT for individuals.

There is no set timeframe for FEMA to review or for the President to make a decision on the request.
