Should the county emergency management agency office duties be a separate office?
'Camp Oakwood' is homecoming theme

By BILL SHERRY • Correspondent

OAKWOOD – The theme for the Oakwood Homecoming Festivities this year is “Camp Oakwood.” The community park in the village of Oakwood promises to be the center of the activities as everyone is welcome to come and pitch a tent for both Friday and Saturday nights.

That’s right – camp out in the park, bring your tent and sleep under “Camp Oakwood” stars. Register at the library. Children must be accompanied by a parent.

Camping isn’t the only new activity this year. There’s a long list of new activities that will be happening in Oakwood this Labor Day weekend including tractor games, Total Blackout game, a 5K health walk, Touch a Truck and a paper lantern launch.
