BOWLING GREEN  – On Monday, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District Two announced that on Aug. 29, ODOT will begin the process of opening the new U.S. 24 alignment, from Waterville to Napoleon. Details on opening are scheduled as follows:

On Aug. 29, westbound U.S. 24 will open to traffic near Fallen Timbers Lane near Waterville.

Additionally at this time, the ramps to/from U.S. 24 to/from Ohio 64, Ohio 295 and Ohio 109 will open. This includes both eastbound and westbound U.S. 24 traffic.

The new eastbound U.S. 24, at the Napoleon tie in, will open to traffic approximately six to 24 hours later for traffic pattern change. Motorists will use current eastbound U.S. 24.
