Should the county emergency management agency office duties be a separate office?
Construction underway at Payne Vancrest

Progress Staff Writer

PAYNE – The former Dallas Lamb Foundation Home is currently under an extensive remodeling phase with expectations it could be open by the first of the year.

Vancrest Management Corporation purchased the facility on Dec. 15, 2011 at auction for $455,000. At the present time, construction is moving forward and a complete renovation is in process. Floors have been torn out and relaid, walls gutted and what used to be nursing home rooms are taking on a whole new look.

According to Vancrest president Mark White, plans are to make the facility into assisted living quarters complete with  24 units in sizes varying from 350 to 550 square feet with a bathroom and wet bar and will house everything necessary to be a modern, efficient, state-of-the-art assisted living complex.
