Ottawa Hills too much for Archers

By JIM LANGHAM

OTTAWA HILLS – An experienced Ottawa Hills team didn’t waste any time in establishing itself against a youthful, inexperienced Antwerp squad on Friday night. The Green Bears jumped out to a 20-0 lead at the end of the first quarter and then posted an additional 25 points in the second stanza to roll over the Archers, 48-0.

Ottawa Hills was led by Judah Wollenberg, who scored two touchdowns and threw for another and Will Longthorne who also rushed for a pair of scores.

The Archers were only able to accumulate 69 yards of offense in the effort.

As has been the case all season, Antwerp head coach Drew Altimus said that his injured and young squad has no recourse but to go back to practice and learn fundamentals a play at a time.
