Should the county emergency management agency office duties be a separate office?
New agency to coordinate Christmas for kids

Progress Staff Writer

PAULDING – The Christmas for Kids program in Paulding County will be coordinated this year by Northwest Ohio Community Action Commission (NOCAC). The program coordinates its efforts with radio station MIX 98.1, which has been working many years to make sure children have a merrier Christmas.

The program had been coordinated for approximately 17 years by Paulding County Job and Family Services. The agency subsequently suffered budget cuts and could no longer oversee the much-needed community program.

In 2011, the First Presbyterian Church coordinated the event, but according to Linda Reineck, who helped with the event last year, they are no longer able to do the project this year.
