PAULDING – Local podiatrist Dr. David Beatty announced in a letter dated Sept. 14 that he was going to be closing his office on Dec. 31.

Dr. Beatty has been in his office as a private practitioner since 1991. The letter in part stated, “We are all getting older each day and we have become constantly aware of the energy level to keep an active business going on a daily business.

“Carol is finding that filing the insurance claims while keeping up with the office procedures and maintenance has become more challenging as the years go on.
